Is there a way to have my Airport connection to the Internet and my connection to the LanBox LCE working simultaneously. FYI, I am connecting the LanBox LCE directly to my Mac on the supplied Ethernet cable -- I am not using an intervening hub.

You can't connect the box to your Mac, but it must be connected to the airport via Ethernet. Your mac should be in DHCP auto, and the lanbox stays fixed at 192.168.1.77. The DHCP server range of the airport should be set to e.g. 192.168.1.128 - 192.168.1.254. . The Airport itself also fixed to 192.168.1.1 (Gateway).

In above setup, you have internet -and- LanBox, and you can also make to lanbox public via port mapping.
