Yes, that is happening when you place two or more fixtures (from the 
library), and you make a group of them. select the group and you 
control the group, select the a individual fixture and you control 
only the fixture. A group of intensities also has separate channels 
for individual control, see also the tutorial.

Did you make your own fixture, or customized fixture? Grouping does 
not change/add light channels of the fixtures.
