Hello all, As music players/sequencers (e.g. Ableton) can only send MIDI triggers (in the form of program changes / bank select), I decide to write an example MAX patch to convert the MIDI triggers to TCP commands. Once finished I can create a program of the patch so it can just run on a Macintosh or Windows XP computer. The Midi2TCP patch listens on the virtual MIDI input, and when receiving a program change, it sends out a Go command via TCP to a LanBox-LCE or LCX. In a program like Ableton you only need to send the bank select / program changes to the virtual MIDI port of this patch. As I still don't understand how to add a track and add program changes in Ableton Live, I need some help so I can test the patch. Can anybody help me with an Ableton project which plays a music and sends out MIDI program changes? Or, if you have MAX, can anybody test my midi2tcp patch with -a- sequencer? Let me know, -- Fokko van Duin, CDS advanced technology bv, http://www.lanbox.com/
