hi thanks for your answer - very precise i did not try it yet, but I am afraid I was not very precise. To the point __when I was talking about the "airport" connection (which , yes is the connection to the internet, and mainly to the other computers of my ensemble) I was thinking about about the "internet set-up" of my mac, not about the "airport base" if I understand your answer, you explain how to set up my base, which in turn gives the IP addresses to the computers. However the best solution, since we play concerts, meaning move to different places (and yes, still have to communicate between the different computers and even sometimes have to download this or that from the internet) would be some way which does not need to change the airport-base settings but only those on our computers (or just change the LanBox TCP/IP ?) many thanks best kasper
