We have a Perl script for OSX called LcFlashdump, see
http://www.lanbox.com/downloads/downloads.html#other which can
generate a complete clone file, which can be restored with firmware
upload.
Talking about backup - Is there a chance that this complete clone file
thing will be implemented in LCedit+ in the next version? The standard
backup does (not as you've mentioned) save the layers with their states.
This pearl script works, it is just a bit cumbersome.
