SubjectRe: [LCtalk] DMX in / RGBW Fixture

But to be sure that I understood right, I will ask some more questions:
I have this setup:
Isadora is sending midi to the lanbox over midi in. Controlled are 8 RGB LED fixtures. Midi notes are send to trigger one hour of show. I assume 2000 to 2500 triggers are set.

The midi is assigned to a layer, I presume that is Layer A (in Global settings->midi)

I want to have all over control for an instant blackout. Is it possible to do this?
What happens when the next midi-trigger is sent by Isadora?
What happens when I bring back the DMX values to full on the console.
How are priorities handled?

I think the best is to use the layer to which you have set the console. (NOT the same layer as you use for midi) So if you use layer A for midi, use layer B for the console.
Make layer B "LTP" (Lowest Takes Precedence) so that the lowest values will be used by the mixer in the Lanbox.

Now, when you have the faders on the console all at 100%, the mixer in the Lanbox will use the values of layer A (Isadora), because they are lower.
When you set the faders on the console to 0%, you will have a blackout because the mixer takes the lowest value.

I hope that answered some questions.

Red Green Blue AND White (4 Channel Fixture). Where is it in the library? I could not find it.

Sorry, I can not help you with that.

Regards, Peter
