Subject[LCtalk] Will it do what I want?

Dear LanBox list,

This is really a very basic question. I do lighting design in a fairly well equipped amateur theatre, we have very little in the way of moving lights, just 12 DMX colour scrollers, the dimmers are Strand LD90s in the main house and some ancient analogue Strand things in the studio. There's some sort of box that converts the digital output from the desk in the studio into an analogue signal.

Now, I've had a go with the Lanbox demo version but it's difficult to get a feel for something when you can't see the lights going up or down. So I guess I'll just have to take the plunge, buy the kit and see (literally) how I get on with it. Before I do that I just want to know this: does this software allow you to build a lighting state (scene) that can then cross fade over 2, 5, or 180 seconds into another lighting state and, ultimately, create a show with multiple lighting states that can be cross-faded one to the other on a "Go" button? That, with a few refinements, is the essence of what we do.

Please help because, I swear to God, if I have to do another show with the wretched Strand 520i software, I'm going to put my sledgehammer through the desk.
