Ah, that's what I was missing. So the 788 at 5A is directly equivalent to the Smartpack at 10A but only for people who live in a 230/240V country. And I'm not sure whether or not the Smartpack can dim neon, FL, and fans. No, Christian, I hadn't thought about moving to Europe to get more power out of my dimmers but if somebody made me a job offer I'd certainly consider it. I'm not really big on nationalistic pride. I like the town I live in, but I'm not going to argue for or against 120V vs 240V. For the present, I'll just have to settle for higher amperage dimmers. I must say, though, that I really like our Klieg dimmers at 50A, not 5A. Even at a mere 120V that's 6KW per channel. I wish we had more of them.
