The "anyone:4777" is the default setting and is already set, no need to change it, unless you want to receive only from a specific IP:port. If you use the "Write" into buffer 254 (mixer), you write directly to DMX, unless a layer has active channels. You can also write directly into a layer, but the used channels must be activated (as with DMX input), so running a "null" cue will do. If you turn on broadcast mixer, you will see the light channel values in MAX rx demo. However, when I go to the UDP settings pane of the General Settings, all items are grayed out. Uhh? If you use only UDP writes, nothing needs to be filled in. If you want to receive any braodcasts, you must set the channel range e.g. 1-200, and optional different destination channels and layer number. Do I also understand correctly that I can monitor the LanBox using LCedit over IP while controlling it from max via UDP? Yes you can still connect via TCP, so you can e.g. monitor the mixer buffer to see that with the TX demo values are coming in. BTW What LanBox type and firmware version are you using? The latest firmware is v2.09, LCedit+ 3.4.1 (beta), and MAX LanBox externals (universal) all ending in .mxo. I hope this helps, Fokko van Duin, CDS advanced technology bv, http://www.lanbox.com/
