[LCtalk] LanBox and UDP and Max

Hello Fokko & List,

We are having difficulty setting up UDP control from MaxMSP.  
Specifically, we are trying to get the UDP desk example to work.
We can get the Serial example to work, but it doesn't behave correctly 
on all of the computers we need to use it with.
We can get UDP tx and UDP rx examples to work between two computers.
We can also get the UDP desk to work with the UDP rx (set to receive 
write messages not broadcast) again between two computers.

I have read through the postings on the archive and I have looked at 
tutorial section 8.

I have erased the Lanbox to clear the settings and the layers.
Lanbox control using LCedit over the LAN (i.e. via TCP/IP) works 
correctly.
Lanbox is set to 192.168.1.77


Do I understand correctly that I need to change the General Settings 
> UDP tab > Input Settings > From Sender to  "anyone:4777".
However, when I go to the UDP settings pane of the General Settings, all 
items are grayed out.

Do I also understand correctly that I can monitor the LanBox using 
LCedit over IP while controlling it from max via UDP? Or must LCedit be 
connected via serial?

Any other suggestions?
