Hello all,

First let me quote myself :)

Subject: [LCtalk] Layers and control cues

In the talk archives I have found how to reset, clear and create an unnamed layer in LC edit+.

I created a controlcue to reset all the layers to the setup I work with, including transparency and add setting. This way I can start any show with a clean sheet. (even if some nitwit messes up the layers) The only thing I did not find is how to create a layer with a layer ID, and to keep it locked from autodeleting. Is this possible?

so the idea is to run a controlcue e.g. g99zz and then all the layers are created or resetted and set to the settings I would like them.

So, it actually happened last week that "some nitwit" resetted the Lanbox. Of course I had a backup, but I found out that the layer-setup was not in that backup (or anywhere else).
That on itself was annoying, but not really the biggest problem. I noticed that certain macros I made were wrong too!

For example a macro that sets the Transparancy for Layer M to 88% When I had recreated the layer-setup as I use it, the macro made Layer B transparent for 88% !

So the macros appearently do not look at the Layer ID, but something else?

Is there anyway in which this can be avoided/

Kind regards, Peter
