No, not really, as Apple dropped AppleTalk it also means that newer WIFI base stations do not support it anymore. Anyway OS X systems do not support the AppleTalk (ADSP) protocol. Maybe an easier way is to add a BlueTooth to RS232 module, and use Blue Tooth for short range wireless. BTW We have no experience with this BlueTooth solution, but some people say it's working.
