I've been running the beta LCedit+ 3.4.1 on a show this week. I had several re-occurances of the "live edit bug" yesterday.

Based on your description it doesn't sound like it's the same bug, but we've also noticed ourselves that there are still issues in live editing, as usual pertaining to synchronization between the state of the lanbox and the contents of the cuelist editor.

The first one happened after coming out of edit mode

That's kinda odd, since nothing happens when leaving edit mode: no Go, no SetChannels... it just sets the layer back into Run mode.

The lighting state which came up appeared to be completely random, and the two MAC500's reset themselves. I have not plotted in any fixture resets, so I can only assume the DMX output data is getting corrupted somehow, and it just so happened to affect the reset channels.

That's genuinely odd... I can't imagine any way of that happening.

If/when it happens again, I'll make a note of the cue number & send in a copy of the show.

That probably wouldn't be very useful. If possible however, try to record this info when you notice the bug again:

1. what was the last action (or last few actions) you took before you noticed things were wrong?

2. what state is the cuelist editor in? (loaded, modified, stored) what did you last do to the selected step? is the scene data shown right?

3. what state is the layer in? do the channels match what's supposed to be in the cuelist?

If you can find steps to reproduce the bug then that would be ideal of course, but even if not, the above information may help us pin it down.

In the mean time we'll continue working on the issues we've noticed ourselves in the live editor. Hopefully we'll be able to get it right this time (the live editor is the trickiest part of LCedit+ currently)
