Hi Rob,
For the Artwork of the Watermunt* we have created a small piece of
software for the LCX. In this software we read the tides & moon faces
from different tables and this results in data for the LCX, which will
output on our line on the outside of the building. In the software we
send UDP data (since this was the easiest to implement method to write
software for this artwork.
For another Artwork we have done (Freudenthal**) where the programmer
wrote an application that enables children to play a game over the
internet. The results of the game are displayed by four pieces of LCX's
on the outside of the building. Also for this application we have
choosen to use UDP, because of the simplicity.
Kind regards,
Carl Holzmann
