1) How to you grab a scene if you're not in edit mode?

Not, I thinks it's disabled in the single line Editor on purpose, as when values are still changing (e.g a fade, or next step), it could store very wrong values.

Can you grab the DMX output values, and paste them into a cue?

No.

Any chance of this being added as a feature, on the understanding that if you grab while a fade is running you get what you deserve? Perhaps allowing cut & paste from the DMX output monitor window could be one way to implement it.

I see there's a "Grab DMX Data" option on the Layers menu, but its always greyed out (and what's it for, if not this?)

It's for the very old LCII with grabber firmware.

Fair enough!

2) Colour Scrollers

I have 16 frames on each scroller (0 to 15), and have created an LCedit+ profile for them with correctly coloured pannel buttons. However, using the buttons doesn't work reliably. If I click on frame 0, the DMX value generated is 15 which is part way through frame 0. I need it to output 0.

If you want a single value you must create a button -only- for a single value. The in-between values can be set to no button.

Ok - this is probably my misunderstanding of the profile editor. I'll experiment a bit more.

3) Edit bug?

When you live edit a cue step and then Store the cue list, the box seems to re-run the cue, which is fine.

??? No, it should not do that. What kind of connection (USB or TCP), and what computer type are you using?

I'm glad you pinned this one down. For the record I'm using a Dell laptop running Windows 2000 SP4, connected to LCX via ethernet.

Best Regards, Marc
