FWIW, I use this feature for all of my moving head/mirror fixtures, as
it allows me to create a set of >default focus points - in advance of
setup at the venue.
Amazing...
So in order to get the desired effect I need these layers:
A: Transparent layer with the desired chase (pan & tilt only)
B: Add layer with the positioning (pan & tilt only)
C-etc: Shutter, color, gobo, prism, etc.
So if I stop layer A, can I then position whatever is left visible in
"C-etc" (e.g. solid red beam) to where I want it? Or do I need to keep A
running with 100% transparency?
It does make the limit of 32 layers seem on the small side though!
I suppose you would only need so many layers to have many different
shapes on many different fixtures?
