I think it's not easy to manipulate colors under runtime, I'll have a look.

Again, I'll have to dig into the source to see what's possible. 
Anyway I'll agree that a quick Macro page would be very useful.

As long as configuration/mapping is done at the memo pad level (text 
based), it's feasible.
