Every cuestep in the LanBox is fixed size -- one command byte and 6 data bytes -- and it's very difficult to change this at this point. Hence all the parameters for a split fade couldn't fit in one step, and likewise we can't fit longer comments (nor a richer character set) in a single cuestep.
