There's a problem there, which is related to why split fades are implemented oddly. Every cuestep in the LanBox is fixed size -- one command byte and 6 data bytes -- and it's very difficult to change this at this point. Hence all the parameters for a split fade couldn't fit in one step, and likewise we can't fit longer comments (nor a richer character set) in a single cuestep.


I realize that internal constraints like these ought not be put in the user's face, but we currently have no easy way around it.
