Be sure you set MAX 6.xx to "Open using rosetta" in the finder info, 
as our current externals are not yet "universal".

BTW LCdmxout uses our MAX UDP externals, and the universal UDP 
versions can already be downloaded from our site. Look at 
http://www.lanbox.com/downloads/downloads.html#other for the file 
LC_udp_xMAX_univExt_beta.zip


BTW We hope to release the complete MAX LanBox examples as universal 
binaries soon, but it's still not finished at this moment.
