It sounds as you did not activate the used channels in layer B.
Create a cue which sets the used channels to 0, and run it in layer A
and layer B. Leave it running forever, so those channels are always
activated at startup (do save LanBox data).
Set DMX-input to layer B in the Global settings of LCedit+.
