[LCtalk] DMX vs. MIDI

I am having difficulty getting my DMX input to work along with my MIDI 
input. I have a MIDI device controlling channels 1-49 (a Peavey 
PC-1600.) If I map my DMX mixer to layer A(Channels 1-24), it will work 
but will over ride the MIDI control of same output channels. If I map 
DMX to any layer other than A, it will not be passed through to the 
output. I can monitor the DMX input, and see the levels changing along 
as the sliders are changed on the DMX board. Regardless of what layer I 
select, or the status of that layer (top of stack, ect.) the DMX will 
not pass through the mixer until I move DMX back to layer A.

I am using a LanBox LCX, with firmware version 2.6
