I got the pd example from someone on the pd-list. (see 'lanbox' in 
pd-list archive)

I tried some more things and it turned out that SetCommon16BitMode Off 
works.  so that is : 0x65 0x00

It kept things running, so I guess this is a good alternative.  I'm not 
sure though, it might cause trouble in the long run, would it ?  Anyway, 
I'll try *00050000#  read version and box type and see if it works as 
well.
