Hi All, Having just run a successful show on the latest LcEdit + firmware for a few weeks, I am impressed. The new features (clock, fonts, etc.) help enormously. However, I do have a few observations/suggestions :) I use the WinXp version of LcEdit 3.4 on an XP(Home ed.) sp2 Laptop connecting to a LanBox-LCX running v2.06 firmware. 1. A load next cue / load previous cue button in the cue list editor would be very useful. It would save having to look up the previous cue number and then loading it. 2. It would be useful to have the cue list dropdown center itself around the current cue, not always start at the first cue as at present. Once the cue you want moves off the bottom of the screen it gets very annoying having to scroll down the list many entries, when all you really wanted was the next entry. 3. Is there a way to allow the cuelist editor to be made smaller horizontally, by wrapping the control area perhaps? When the top level layer only contains comments, 'go' and 'wait' commands, having 13/14 empty channels displayed is a waste of screen space. 4. Could the cuelist editor be made a little more intelligent when following a layer, such that the next two or three lines are always visible? As the cuelist cannot be made read-only when following a layer in this mode I am always hesitant about clicking on the scrollbar just in case I accidentally click on a cue and advance/retard the show! Being able to see what comes next is essential, esp. if it is a prompt for the followspot operator or similar manual event... 5. I came across a possible issue several times during setup/plotting while editing a cuelist in an add layer. The cue/layer in question only affects the pan/tilt (5 sets of 2x16bit channels), however upon pressing 'store' the fixtures (5x518s in this case) went bonkers and changed effects/colour and gobo settings in a most bizarre way! Issuing a 'go xxx' command to select another cue and then returning to the current cue resets everything to as expected! I can provide a zipped backup of the cues if if helps investigate this issue. 6. Is it possible to add a zoom facility to the graphic display in the path editor? When creating small patterns this would help a lot. Rgds. David Raison. Hampshire, UK
