Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I still have not gotten it working.  
I have tried capture 2005 and 3.0 demos, but nothing is coming up in the 
providers dialog of capture. I did vary from your instructions slightly, 
All machines are in the 192.168.1.xx range,  I have not figured out hot 
to set the win box manually. Could that be the problem?

I tried setting the UDP setting several different was as well.

I'm stuck.
