Yesterday, I lost audio/midi sync on Logic and my midi cut out and the LCX didn't get any changes. But then the stage went black and I had no control of the LCX with the LCedit app and I lost USB communication with the LCX.

This sounds as a power lost, as your stage went black (the box was rebooted, and it was saved with a black stage).

I would advice using an UPS, use Ethernet (TCP/IP) instead of USB (USB is NOT galvanic isolated). I am not sure what you mean with "lost audio/midi sync on Logic", but if a MIDI connection is lost temporary, you get problems with MIDI "running status". If you always send first a bank select (controller 0), and then a program change, it can never get out of sync with the running status system of MIDI.

BTW If you do a save LanBox data with layer(s) set to a "basic" lighting, you prevent a total black out after reset.
