Subject[LCtalk] Trying to automate patching of channels?
FromEric Christensen

Hello,

My setup is the following:
One LCX Lanbox with on the input side a CMX 24 (standard DMX panel with sliders from channel 1 to 24), on the output side Pandoras box from Coolux (dmx video/audio control unit).
What I have achieved so far is that I can control from my keyboard (by using keystrokes) the activation of the videofragments I want (with all the required settings I want - speed, dimmer, colormix, ...), by calling specific cue list entries.
What I would like to achieve is that dynamically (by preference from within a cue) I can activate certain channels of my CMX 24 and patch these onto the pandoras box channels.
So far I'm able to have this working manually through the Tools - Patch Editor menu, but this is not very "dynamic" as I need to activate/deactivate at least 5 channels on the fly.
I didn't try the macros yet, which probably can do the trick, but I considered this a less elegant technique.

Any ideas in the field?

R,
Eric
