Yes, -very- easy with MIDI; Just connect the trigger output of the "Sound level watcher" actor to the GoNextStep input of the "LC Go (MID)" actor.


If you use a cuelist with just show scene forever steps, it will be triggered only by audio level. If you put the layer in a chase mode, using e.g. show scenes for 1s, you can still send audio triggers. How about triggering on red spots in video :-)

If you turn on the "Wait on Step" option of a step, the step will wait until next quarter beat has been received. Programs like Performer, Logic, but also several DJ/VJ programs can analyze the music, so they can generate the correct beat clock. On a LCX you can see when a MIDI clock is received, as the most right LED will blink on the beat.
