Looks very promising, a "dmx test" device that'll do simple
lightingjobs too, and a nice wing addition with groupfaders to a LCX.

I have one of the pocket consoles. Nice little device for testing.

It has 8 sliders that can be assigned to any DMX channel (or multiple DMX channels). It takes a while to do channel mapping. I'd recommend it as a test device, but if you didn't need the portability, you can get a low end DMX console for around the same money.

Maybe it'll also work for programming cues in an LCX?

Yes, but again, it would take a while to remap channels if trying to use more than just 8.
