Now, what I understood about that is that you could use a control surface
just like faders on a lighting board.
The PC1600x has the ability to send Note On commands using a fader (with
th= e note velocity controlled by the fader position). This works quite
nicely with the PC1600x but apparently the Behringer lacks that
capability?
I believe the Kenton "Control Freak" can also send any MIDI command as well.
would there be a way (other than software translation (midi cc to midi
note))
I think that Midi Solutions has a small little "black box" that might be
able to convert your CC to Note Velocity. One of their Event Processors
may be able to do that.
