You had created a fixture (on stage), rather than a fixture definition (in the library editor). That's why it didn't ask you where to save -- fixtures are always stored inside a project, while fixture definitions are always separate files in the library.


But yes, exporting the fixture as a definition works too... I had actually forgotten that function existed :-)
