Having just done my first show with a LANbox (and got on with it pretty
well) a couple of things would be useful (at least for the way I have
been working):
1: Pan and tilt controls for moving fixtures on arrow keys (so the
up/down arrows do tilt and left/right arrows do pan) would be very
intuitive. I found accurate positioning using a mouse to be tricky, and
making adjustments using the keyboard (clicking in the number value box)
was very successful. It would be really useful to be able to adjust
both without having to change between selecting the pan value and the
tilt value, and then using the arrow keys.
Well, there is something built-in which comes close:
Type x, arrow up/dwn for pan.
Type y, arrow up/dwn for tilt.
Holding the shift key down for coarse steps.
BTW While using the trackball; shift key shifts to the fine channels.
Maybe this helps?
