it's possible to write your own AU/VST plugin with MAX/MSP, and MAX 
can communicate directly with the lanbox (get the max related stuff 
on lanbox.com). There are some nice tutorials about how to build such 
Pluggo-plugins included in the Pluggo package.

well, I admit, you have to spend some time for development, but if 
you really wanna have such a thing...
