If so, did you have to do anything special? If not, what adapter were you using? I am sure it's not your USB adapter, but I think you use the wrong port. From: http://www.lanbox.com/support/Talk-Archive/msg-01913.html For serial ports you can use the USB modem name instead of the IP + port: do shell script "perl ~/Desktop/cmdwrite.pl usbmodem18111 '*00050000#'" To get a list of serial ports: do shell script "ls /dev/cu.*" For the Keyspan you get something like below (I have a 4 port serial adapter, and a LCX): fokko@pa0dtl ~$ ls /dev/cu.* /dev/cu.Bluetooth-Modem /dev/cu.USA49W4b21P3.3 /dev/cu.Bluetooth-PDA-Sync /dev/cu.USA49W4b21P4.4 /dev/cu.T610 /dev/cu.modem /dev/cu.USA49W4b21P1.1 /dev/cu.usbmodem4B251 /dev/cu.USA49W4b21P2.2
Also be sure you use the latest perl script, see http://www.lanbox.com/support/Talk-Archive/msg-01934.html This easier to use with normal decimal numbers :-) I hope this helps, -- Fokko van Duin, Creators of the LanBox-LC CDS advanced technology bv, DMX lighting controller. http://www.cds.nl/ http://www.lanbox.com/ We are member of MIDI Manufacturers Association, MMA
