Oh, I have done that and it works. I was following up an earlier email 
where I complained that sometimes LCEdit doesn't respond to the key 
shortcuts. You had answered that the command window had to be active.

It seems that under certain circumstances LCEdit starts ignoring all 
keystrokes. The control-# commands do seem to work and by making that a 
button on my Shuttle it more or less takes care of the problem. However, 
the renumbering is annoying because it's a little tedious to go change 
the Shuttle config.
