Paul,
It sure would be nice to press a button on the Shuttle Pro, key in a
number or numbers on the keypad, and not even have to look at the
computer screen to change a fade time.
I've done similar to what you are describing with a X-Keys keypad, and make
a button labeled "Cue" that presses "g" for the CLI Go command, etc. You
can do Next/Prev Step, etc. and still have room for your 0-9 keys, Enter,
etc.
As far as changing fade times though, a little trickier.
