Thanks Fokko,

I was finally able to get it to remember my window size and layout.  I 
had to change the configuration of the dual monitor setup from two 
monitors with separate resolutions (extending desktop to second monitor) 
to a two monitor setup with the same resolution of 2048X768.  I would 
have preferred the former option because text boxes for all applications 
open in the center of the primary monitor and are easily viewable.  With 
the current setup they open in the center of the current resolution 
which is split between two monitors.  This means that every time a text 
box pops up (Windows or any other application) I have to move it to the 
left or the right so I can read it.  All in all I wish it would work the 
other way but I'm really happy to have it remember the layout the way I 
set it.
