LCedit+ v3.3 released for MacOS, OS X and Windows.

April 26, 2005, Maassluis, NL -

CDS advanced technology bv announces the v3.3 release of LCedit+, the advanced LanBox lighting editor, for multiple platforms. This new version of LCedit+ adds, besides OSX 10.4 (Tiger) compatibility, updated tutorial and bug fixes, many new features for the LanBox-LCX, LanBox-LCE and LanBox-LCM. The most important features have to do with RGB (LED) fixtures and matrix setups. It's now possible to see the light intensity of a fixture -and- the resulting color of RGB fixtures on the stage!

In order to synchronize the layers of multiple LanBoxes with each other, we added layer broadcasting and layer sync. This makes it possible for large standalone running projects (architectural RGB pixel), to run huge scenes distributed over multiple boxes in sync.

Also included is the newest firmware v2.05 for the LanBox-LCX, LCE & LCM, and new MAX-MSP externals with examples.

** LCX, LCE & LCM users should install the included firmware v2.05 **

New features of LCedit+ v3.3

* View menu: show color, hide labels added, (RGB) lamps can viewed as a matrix display.
* Group editor merge modes added.
* New panel RGB (with color/intensity result).
* New RGB fixture supporting color view.
* Paste picture (or drag file) into (selection/group) control Intensity/RGB panels.
* Pattern generator now also supports matrix RGB and single channels and color
* Auto copy for path/pattern generator.
* Reboot... menu action.
* Go xx.x in layer zz action added (go in new layer)
* Layer list scrolling relaxed.
* Two new global UDP settings for layer synchronizing.
* Updated LCedit+ tutorial.
* Tiger (OSX 10.4) compatible

LCedit+ v3.3 bug fixes

* UDP IP fields in global settings made wider
* 11 buttons, now possible
* Copy/paste empty step->crash solved
* v alt-enter without selection: Exception Traceback solved

What's new in LCX/LCE/LCM v2.05 firmware

* Added UDP layer broadcast and UDP layer synchronize

Changes in LCX/LCE/LCM v2.04 firmware

* DMX values will be clipped to 255, when the result of a master intensity (with a setting larger then 100%) and current DMX value would become above 255.

* Corrected the issue that scene values could be (partly) wrong, when a scene was written on an internal 64K boundary. This happened very seldom, and mostly with large scenes, but getting wrong data is -very- confusing.

Changes in LCX/LCE/LCM v2.03 firmware

* Supports 3 flavors of DMX on the LanBox-LCX, LCE and LCM, details are at: http://www.lanbox.com/support/dmx-timing-v203.html but see also the discussions on the LanBox-Talk list at: <http://www.lanbox.com/support/Talk-Archive/msg-01665.html>
* Sets MIDI bank select default to 0 after power up.
* Solves a layer/display issue after "erase LanBox".
* Corrected the off by one issue with UDP output of the DMX-in layer.
* Corrected an issue with UDP input ranges in complex multi-universe setups.
