[LCtalk] midi control question

I've globally read the talk list and browsed the lanbox manual.

I understand I can trigger DMX values with Midi notes and I can 
start cue's with Midi program change's.

Is it also possible to start cue's with midi notes ? And change DMX 
value's ( or more value's at the same time ( like the color parameter 
of 4 scans ) with controller change messages.

Hope somebody can help me. Thanks in advance.
