Jamie,

1. Is there a way to start off a show saved in the box in stand alone mode when the box is powered up, without having to trigger it from a computer or any other trigger?

Yes, very easy to do. When you do a "Save LanBox Data", it saves the current state of the box, including any currently running cues. So, it will power back up to exactly that same state.

We have many customers using the LCE for standalone applications, where it starts up when powered on and runs continuously all day (museums, exhibits, etc.)

2. How are the shows constructed? ie Is a show a sequence of cuelists which will run from one list to the next without having to externally trigger each cuelist change?

Each cuelist can contain up to 99 steps, with holds, etc. and you can also link multiple cuelists together for virtually unlimited length cues.
