Yes, but that wouldn't help Geoffrey out, since he has the older LanBox-LC.

Without something custom being built, there really aren't any options other 
than running a wire to a switch closure on the LC.

The LCM and LCE have built-in IR for using Sony/Phillips VCR remote 
protocol.

The LCX has a full I/O port and again something custom could be done with 
that, but no "turnkey" options really available.
