With a LanBox-LCX or LCE you could use a Palm Tungsten-C which has

Do you want a wireless remote control device, or e.g. using your
PowerBook to control the box wireless?
Non all I want to do is to have actors send GO signals as discreetly as
possible while on stage. So ideally they will be manipulating a remote
control that is definitely no bigger than a TV remote control. I
thought perhaps there would be some kind of IR receiver that you could
hook up to a make just to relay teh GO signal.
