SubjectRe: [LCtalk] Channel gain Fluke, Feature or my fault

This is more like key re-mapping. I used Quickeys to do that.

Thanx for the tip

- Is it possible to change channel numbering (and stage numbering) so I can keep patch 1 to 1 (so the channel nr. is the same as fixture nr,) after deleting some unused fixtures.

Sure, select a fixture and do menu Edit Item. You can change the light channel Base address of the fixture, and after Tab the DMX address is set to the same address.

But the numbering on stage stays the same, so maybe it's a better idea if I type the fixture number by hand in the name field and uncheck the numbering in the stage window to avoid confusion.

Note: Don't change addresses after you made cues, as the used channels are NOT changed in cues!

I understand. But I can repatch the DMX adress, right.

Uh, we did :-) If a layer is in chase mode the chase speed changes the hold times and fade times. It's not possible to change the rate of a pending fade.

Might it be possible in a next update?

- A countdown (in sec's) of the selected layer fades / holds for reference on shortening fades.

We preferred the Hold and Fade bars, as it gives a quicker indication how much to go, but it's more a personal preference.

I don't think it's a matter of preference, it's more a question of how you use fades.
It's the difference between an indication and a fact, a 10m fade looks just as long as a 4s one in the window.
I like facts when it comes to tight fades.
But that's just my personal preference :-)
