In order to have the cue auto-deleted, it must be a cuelist which can 
run to the end of the list. I made a cue 10 on demo.lanbox.com which 
does a flash with blackout, this will auto-delete the layer:

// Cuelist 10 (2 steps), stored 20-02-2005 01:25
  show d01 for 3.0s
  show d02 for 2.0s, fading out for 2.0s

:d01
    1[255]    2[255]    3[255]    4[255]    5[255]    6[255]
    7[255]    8[255]
