Another question (to CDS' friends): since udp or tcpip connections are now fast enough, do you plan to raise the DMX output from 20 to 40 frames per second? 

No, for two reasons:

1. We need twice as fast hardware to handle it.
2. Many fixtures will have trouble with it.

BTW Ethernet speed is not that important, it's the processing of EACH active channel (fading, layers, mixing, post processing, etc) which kills the CPU :-)
