Is the v2.03 just a test version or will this be implemented permanently from v2.03 ??

Three speed will be permanently there from v2.03.

What about us, not having any timing problems with our fixtures ??

If you have a LCX, nothing will change as long as you set the number of output channels to 512 (default). For LCM and LCE owners, set it to 500 if your fixtures can not handle normal DMX (these boxes had fixed slow DMX in previous firmware).

I use DMX channels from 1 to 120 (not all of them though)
If upgrading to v2.03, will I suffer from bad performance ??
As I understand, just the 12 top most channels (501 to 512) will offer highest performance.

No, no. If you set number of DMX output channels above 500 (501-512) you have the highest performance for all DMX channels.

We are talking about the Global setting -> DMX -> number of DMX output channels! This has nothing to do with the actual light channels you use or have activated!

I run a cheap dimmerpack 6 ch. -- no timing problem
4 pcs SGM Victory II 11 ch. / each -- no timing problem
4 pcs China made colour changers CC-PAR 1200 5 ch / each -- no timing problem.

Until last we we used 4 pcs JB The Winner scanners instead of SGM Victory II but discovered no timing errors.

Maybe you have a LCE or LCM, which already had slow DMX output?
