Correct, it's allowed to send 1 packet per second with only 32 channels, but also 44 packets/sec of 512 channels. That withstanding, obviously there are many non-compliant fixtures out there though which is an issue that none of us can correct, other than complaining to the manufacturers. Well, I estimate that 90% of the fixtures are fully complying with DMX-512 USITT 1990. The non-complying ones are nearly always newbies (LED fixtures) or "el cheapos" fixtures/dimmers. I absolutely agree that one should not accept a "DMX" fixture which can not keep up with the highest speed. Still, we will offer a solution with slow and very slow DMX output ASAP for the LCX, LCM and LCE, but there will be a catch. Anyway the normal performance will be back to as high as possible for all LanBoxes :-) Will be continued, -- Fokko van Duin, Creators of the LanBox-LC CDS advanced technology bv, DMX lighting controller. http://www.cds.nl/ http://www.lanbox.com/ We are member of MIDI Manufacturers Association, MMA
