Actually this is not correct; According to the standard, a controller (desk) can freely choose the speed of DMX within the USITT 1990 specifications, but..


A receiver (fixture, dimmer) -must- be able to handle any speed within these specifications. So formally the fixtures are NOT complying to the DMX-512 USITT 1990 standard, but the desks are!
