Hello all, I also agree with everyone regarding cheap fixtures not being fully DMX compliant, but as Fokko mentioned, many professional desks are then also not DMX compliant! So you then end up with the LanBox controllers being the "least compatible" with some fixtures, which as Fokko mentioned, makes the LanBox not the controller of choice (since it doesn't "work" with everything out there). True, it's not the fault of the LanBox, but it's hard to prove that to anyone... They just know their fixctures work with other controllers. I think the idea is to be able to keep the full speed DMX that is already there but with an OPTION for slower DMX to work with less expensive fixtures. With some devices (like lasers), there is sometimes no other choices within a budget range, and it sure would be nice to still be able to use the LanBox.
