Can you give some brands/types of fixtures which are 'slow '?

This list is not complete, as with firmware updates the specs are changing:

Chauvet dimmer & switch packs ("it's very low cost, so don't complain")

Martin MX1 (it's officially a bug, so maybe new firmware solved it)

Omnisistem Stinger laser fixture ("it works on most desks")

Several cheap "DJ" and RGB LED fixtures.

In most cases the manufacturers are aware of the problems, and promised to "improve" it. So maybe we can get updated info from users. Also, it's very well possible that above fixtures working correctly with a LanBox-LCE/LCM, but not with a LCX.

In general all serious makes like Martin (pro versions), High-End, Vari*Lite, Coemar are working correctly on any speed on any desk/controller. If you want to sure it's working, ask the manufacturer if the fixture fully complies to DMX-512 USITT 1990.
