The "hold for xxx seconds" is stored, but the dmx values of my channels are not (they remain red in the cuelist editor, and are gone when reloading).

Only a "show scene" can contain scene data, no other type of step can. The values are red to alert you that they cannot be stored, and will be lost upon reload.

If I store a cuestep (4.1) with "show scene for ever, crossfading for 5.1 seconds" I get this:

{*AA0004010103255C000000#}>
{*AC00040100001800014D00024D00034D0004FF00054D00064D0007FF0008FF00 09FF000A4D000B4D000C4D000D4D000E4D000F4D00104D00114D00124D00134D00 144D00154D00164D00174D00184D#}>

But if I store a cuestep (3.1) with "hold for 10 seconds", it receives no answer:

{*AA000302182C00000000000A000004010000#}>

The long string is not an answer. the 'prompt' (>) is the answer. The first simply shows two commands: one to store the cuelist, and one to store the scene data of 4.1. The latter doesn't show any scene data being stored, because no scene data *can* be stored in this situation.

I have done this before (with other firmware and LCEdit+ versions).. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I'm afraid you must remember incorrectly. You can't store scene data into any step other than "show scene". It has never been possible either in any version of LCedit+ or any version of firmware.
